Mainland BC MFRC

Mainland BC Military Family Resource Centre Society

 Terms

With the motto, “the strongest force is family”, we support military families so they can strengthen our troops from the inside out. The better the strength at home; the better prepared our troops are to protect Canada and our interests abroad. Our services focus on: joining a new community (new to the military, new to BC, new to civilian life); managing work-related absence (supporting families separated by deployments or extended training exercises); and wellness (physical, social, emotional).

1. We support families throughout Metro Vancouver as well as Kelowna, Vernon, Kamloops, Trail, Cranbrook, and Prince George.
2. Though we have a close relationship with the military, we are not part of the military, but rather an independent not-for-profit organization that has to apply for funding like all other not-for-profits.
3. While our government takes good care of our military members, the services they provide often do not extend to families. We help fill that need.

We envision confident, capable, and resilient families of the Canadian Armed Forces and veterans, well integrated into all their various communities.

To support eligible family members of Mainland BC MFRC through the provision of resources and services that address their unique needs.
