With the holiday season creeping up on us, there’s always the intention to get your Holiday Corporate Giving plan ready. And as the busy season progresses, it’s easy to push that aside. Research has shown that more than one third (34%) of charitable giving takes place between October and December, with nearly 20% of all donations being made in December.
With the holiday just around the season (Creeping up just after Halloween), it’s known to be a time to spread cheer. To kick start the time that’s known as the most wonderful time of the year, we’re sharing events that you and your company can support.
TP the Town Victoria is a one-day toilet paper drive, with the purpose to eliminate the struggle and choice between “Food Vs. Toilet Paper”. As a 20th century convenience product, over 69% of people take toilet paper for granted. For it’s third year, TP the Town Victoria is set to collect over 75,000 rolls of toilet paper for those in need.
We’re happy to announce that we piloted a new program this past summer — our Non-Profit Student Program. We were fortunate to have a Royal Roads communications student intern working with us on the project.
When’s the last time you’ve taken action for a cause? This fall, take a walk or a bike ride with a new purpose in mind. Victoria’s Ride for Refuge happening late September is held by the Cridge Centre for the Family.
This month, literacy will be high on our social agenda. September is Literacy is Life Month in B.C. In the coming weeks, government, businesses and non-profits will work together to support literacy initiatives across the province.
